An Exclusive Two-Night Celebration of Alba White Truffles, Bringing the Culinary Traditions of Piedmont and Over a Century of Italian Family Hospitality to New York

For two nights only, l’abeille welcomes Nino Rocca of Felicin, the celebrated family-run restaurant from Monforte d’Alba, for an exclusive dining experience dedicated to one of gastronomy’s most treasured seasonal ingredients — the exquisite white truffle of Alba.

This special collaboration will feature a tasting menu that celebrates the extraordinary fragrance and delicate complexity of white truffles, bringing together Felicin’s traditional Piedmontese specialties with refined seasonal creations.

Highlights include Parmesan zabaglione with seasonal vegetables, crispy leeks, and Jerusalem artichokes; Felicin’s signature hand-cut tajarin with butter emulsion and freshly shaved white truffle; and delicate agnolotti del plin filled with cheese fondue, complemented by honey and white truffle.

The experience will also feature Dungeness crab with fresh mushrooms, golden chicken with braised chestnuts and hay-infused jus, and an unexpected finale of Tahitian vanilla ice cream with Château d'Estoublon extra virgin olive oil and white truffle.

An extraordinary opportunity to discover the timeless flavors of Piedmont in New York, with white truffles taking center stage throughout an evening of exceptional cuisine.

FELICIN - Four generations of Piedmontese Hospitality

The Remarkable Story of Nino Rocca and Silvia Capra, Preserving a Century-Old Family Legacy of Culinary Tradition, Exceptional Wines, and Warm Hospitality in the Heart of the Langhe.

Nestled in the picturesque village of Monforte d’Alba, surrounded by the celebrated vineyards of Barolo, Felicin has been a landmark of Piedmontese gastronomy since 1923. Founded by Felicin and his wife Dina, the restaurant began as a modest trattoria in Alba before moving to Monforte d’Alba in 1927. Over the following century, it evolved into one of the region’s cherished culinary institutions, remaining in the same family for four generations.

Today, Nino Rocca, grandson of the founder, and his wife Silvia Capra carry forward this remarkable legacy. Nino oversees the cuisine and wine, combining a profound respect for traditional Piedmontese cooking with a lifelong passion for the culture and exceptional ingredients of the Langhe. Silvia brings her own distinctive sense of elegance and hospitality, overseeing the restaurant, guest experience, and the family's collection of historic accommodations.

Together, they embody the spirit of Felicin — a place where generations of culinary knowledge, genuine hospitality, and an enduring appreciation for the pleasures of the table come together.

Among the restaurant’s most cherished traditions is its hand-cut tajarin, still prepared according to the original family recipe using the same knife with which the founder cut pasta generations ago. This devotion to preserving the past, while thoughtfully embracing the present, remains at the heart of Felicin’s philosophy.

For this special collaboration at l’abeille, Nino and Silvia bring not only the treasured flavors of their native Piedmont but also the warmth, history, and personal hospitality that have defined Felicin for more than a century.
